Personalization

Cold smoke. That's the whole thing.

Most cocktail smokers let hot, acrid smoke hit your drink. Ours doesn't. The smoke is channeled through the wood itself, past built-in heat sinks that chill it before it ever surrounds your glass — the cold-smoke method real bars use, because cold smoke carries the full depth and aroma of your own wood chips — whatever flavor you load — without the bitterness or the burn. You're not watching a smoke trick. You're getting a better drink.

Solid mesquite. One slab.

The base is a single board of solid mesquite — the hardwood that puts barbecue on a plate. We don't glue pieces together and call it one. No voids, no fail points, no engineered lumber. Every board's live edge, knots, and grain are its own, so no two smokers are the same piece of the forest.

Automated — tuned for the best smoke.

A custom-programmed microcontroller runs the smoking cycle: steady chip ignition draw, consistent airflow, and a light show that builds with the smoke. Press once and the smoker does the rest — no guessing, no fanning, no torch in your face for the whole cycle.

Rechargeable, not battery-hunting.

Built-in rechargeable LiPo, USB-C charging — no 9-volt hunt, no cord in the way. Roughly 300 smoking cycles per charge.

The light show is yours.

Instead of one LED that glows, we mount individual lights in the base and sequence them into a light show that follows the smoke. Green = ready, red circulating = smoking, warm yellow = resting in the smoke.

Product Features

  • Cold-smoke channel with heat-sink pass-through — smoke is chilled before it reaches the glass
  • Handcrafted from solid mesquite, single slab, natural live-edge design
  • Custom microcontroller-controlled smoking cycle
  • Automatic internal fan
  • Individual sequenced LED light display
  • Rechargeable LiPo battery, built-in USB-C charging port
  • Approximately 300 smoking cycles per charge*
  • Approximately 20 inches long × 8 inches wide × 1½ inches thick

*A smoking cycle generally represents one prepared cocktail. Actual battery life will vary depending on use, charging habits, and operating conditions.

What's Included

  • Handcrafted mesquite smoker base
  • Glass smoking dome
  • Stainless-steel wood-chip cup
  • Apple smoking chips — sweet, fruity, gentle (see pairings below)
  • Rechargeable LiPo battery installed
  • USB-C charging cable

A butane torch is required and is not included. A standard pocket lighter generally does not produce enough concentrated heat to ignite the smoking chips properly.

Which wood for which drink

Chips are the flavor — you choose the drink's personality. We include apple to start, then mix from here:

  • Apple (yours) — sweet, fruity, gentle. Bourbon, straight whiskey, Old Fashioneds, apple brandy.
  • Cherry — deep red fruit. Rye whiskey, cherry Old Fashioneds.
  • Oak — vanilla, toasty, nutty. The classic for bourbon and straight-up whiskey.
  • Alder — light, subtle, clean. Gin & tonics, tequila, anything that shouldn't get masked.
  • Maple — caramel sweetness. Maple Old Fashioneds, dessert-style drinks with amaro or cream.
  • Hickory — bold, assertive. Use lightly; it dominates soft drinks and shines in strong, dark ones.

A little smoke goes a long way — start with one five-second cycle, taste, and add another only if you want more. Mix two woods for a layered result.

How It Works

  1. Place your prepared cocktail beneath the glass dome.
  2. Add a small amount of smoking wood to the stainless-steel chip cup.
  3. Press the control button once to power on the smoker. The LEDs glow green to show it's ready.
  4. Use a butane torch to ignite the wood chips.
  5. Press the button again to begin the smoking cycle. The fan runs for five seconds while the red LEDs circle around the glass dome.
  6. When the fan stops, the LEDs transition to a warm yellow glow while your cocktail rests in the smoke.
  7. For additional smoke, press the button again to run another five-second fan cycle. If another cycle isn't started, the smoker automatically powers down after ~1 minute.
  8. To turn it off manually, quickly double-press the control button.
  9. Once the cocktail has rested, lift the dome, enjoy the release of smoky aroma, and serve.

Made in Texas

Handcrafted by Joe and Priscilla Doran, Texas. The smoker shown in the photographs represents the overall design, but the piece you receive will have its own appearance. Mesquite naturally contains differences in grain, color, knots, live-edge shape, small cracks, and other characteristics. These variations are not manufacturing flaws — they are part of the wood's natural history and what makes every smoker unique. Exact dimensions may also vary slightly, with an average size of approximately 20 × 8 × 1½ inches.

Important Use and Care

  • Use a butane torch in short, controlled bursts. Prolonged direct heat can damage the chip cup, surrounding wood, or internal fan.
  • Do not leave the torch, burning chips, or smoker unattended.
  • Some smoke may escape beneath the dome during normal operation; slight variations along the glass bottom may prevent a perfectly airtight seal.
  • Empty the chip cup after each use once it's cool. Ash buildup restricts airflow.
  • If the lights work but airflow is weak, recharge via the USB-C port.
  • Don't submerge, don't put anything in a dishwasher. Clean the base with a soft, lightly damp cloth and dry immediately.
  • Allow the chip cup and area to cool fully before cleaning or storing.
  • Recharge with a compatible USB-C source. Use only in a well-ventilated area and keep away from children and flammable materials.
